Boot Camp #2 – The Training Continues….
17 people completed the 2nd Blackboard Boot Camp this past Thursday, June 14th. That make 32 faculty and staff who have completed the Boot Camp! Everyone came to the Boot Camp ready to work and learn. The atmosphere in the lab was very positive and I think everyone on our campus now realizes just how important this initiative is to the future of CCC.

Some of the feedback on the evaluations included:
• Loved the hands on exercises.
• I liked the fact that I could work on my Blackboard course in the workshop.
• I will incorporate almost everything I learned today in to my online course!
• I didn’t realize how easy it is to put pictures and links into my courses.
• I want to incorporate more instructional design best practices into my courses.

The next Title III sponsored BB Boot Camp is July 12th and we have 20 staff and faculty signed up at this time. We plan on offering one more training session in mid-August with the goal of getting 100% of our online faculty certified with at least the first 2 modules by fall.
