Here is a 2-year timeline for the Program Review Process. Year-one is for completion of the review and submission of a report. Year-two is a follow-up on the action plan articulated in the review.
Year 1
Mid-August: Program Review Orientation
September 1: Organizational meeting for PRC (called by chair of PR team); Focus Group/SWOT Analysis planning form submitted to Title III
September 15: Program Level Learning Outcomes, Administrative Outcomes, and Program Outcomes assessment plan submitted to Title III
September 29 – October 15: Focus Groups / SWOT analysis
November 1:
- Develop one page student/graduate survey to obtain program outcome data; submit to Title III and Institutional Effectiveness; (Institutional Effectiveness will provide assistance with item formation, printing and mailing)
- Develop one page employee survey to obtain program outcome data
- Focus Group/SWOT results reported by facilitator
November 15: In-class student survey administered; surveys mailed to program graduates and employers, or administered electronically
December 1: Fall semester Program Level Learning Outcomes assessment completed
December 15: Draft of Section I – submit to Title III
January 31: Draft of Section II – submit to Title III
February 15: Draft of Section V, Future Issues – Resources Needed for Future Efforts – submit to Title III
March 1: Draft of Section III, Outcomes – submit to Title III
March 15: Draft of Section IV – Strengths, weaknesses and recommendations- submit to Title III
March 15: Due date for ASAP objectives
April 7: Draft of complete document due to Division Director
May 1: Presentation of Final Document to Title III
May 15: Final Document due to Vice-President for Instruction
May 31: Final Document due to President
June 30: Review document posted on web
Year 2 Follow-Up
September 1: Program Review Team submits response plan
December 1: Status report due to Title III
March 1: Second Status Report due to Title III
April 1: Draft of year-one report due to Title III and Division Director
April 7: Action Plan reviewer comments are returned to CAC
April 15:
- Final draft due to Title III and Division Director
- Report reviewed by Title III, Vice President, and President, then posted to web / outcomes software
