Our first advisory committee meeting

Filed under: Advisory Committee — Don Staub @ 3:40 am

I want to thank the newly formed Title III advisory committee for making our first meeting a success. I believe we’re off on the right foot as we head down the road toward successful implementation of this important project. I am very happy that this committee has broad representation from across campus, bringing a diverse range of experience and perspectives. I know that everyone is very busy, but your participation at this meeting, and on this committee, demonstrates your commitment to the continual improvement of Carteret. I thank you for that. And I especially would like to thank Cheri Marshall, the president of our student government, for her participation. I know she will bring great ideas and input to the effort.

Your thoughts and comments on this and all meetings are greatly appreciated. Please use this space to chime in and let us know what you think, and let me know how I can continually improve our meetings and implementation of this grant. Thanks!

Reminder: our next advisory committee meeting will be January 25th at 3:00 p.m.

  1. Dido Don! The meeting was a tremendous success, and I’m thrilled that we have a committee that shares Carteret’s vision for the Title III Grant. I look forward to serving with each and every one of you.

    Cheers,

  2. Yes Don…we are off to a good start with our various Title III initiatives. As I mentioned at the meeting…The funds and resources coming from this grant will be a great benifit to CCC (students, staff and faculty) on many levels. The nature of education is changing (evolving) very rapidly due to technological advancements in communications and the expanding global marketplace. We at CCC need to be evolving (adapting) with it in order to meet the varied demands of our students and prepare them for careers in this new and dynamic global economy. I see this committee as a team that will help us (you, Heather, Jennifer and I) navigate (and address) the many challenges and issues that we will be facing as we move forward with Capps, assessment, retention and distance learning.

I look forward to working with this commitee and feel confident that great things are going to come out of the Title III grant initiatives.

    Patrick
