Carteret Community College Title III Grant

This page will present ideas and examples of Program Outcomes.

The definition we like to use for a program outcome is: What’s the result of completing the entire program (as opposed to taking a few courses, or simply not completing the program).

Ways to measure Program Outcomes include –

  • Number of students employed as a result of program completion
  • Employer satsifaction
  • Passing rates on a state licensure exam, etc…
  • Transfers to a four-year school

Here are some examples of program outcomes (i.e. this is the wording we’d use):

  • Program completers will find relevant work within 6 months of completing this program.
  • Program completers will successfully complete the state licensure exam.
  • Program completers will start their own business.
  • Program completers will transfer to a four-year school.

We will keep adding to this list as we find other relevant, useful examples.
